§ Mr. Ovendenasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will acquire the shares in British Petroleum at present held by the Burmah Oil Company in order to ensure a majority Government holding in that firm; and if he will then appoint a majority of Government directors to the board of British Petroleum.
