§ 32. Mr. Gowasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what criteria he used to establish 65 degrees Fahrenheit as the temperature below which working conditions in Government offices would be unacceptable.
§ Mr. FreesonThe standard for Government offices is based on the need to provide am adequate temperature, for working efficiency, bearing in mind general practice elsewhere and the need for economy. 65 degrees Fahrenheit has been accepted for some years as providing a reasonable working environment.
