§ Mr. John FraserI am advised by the Manpower Services Commission that the estimated average cost per placing by the Employment Service Agency, excluding the professional and executive recruitment, in 1974 was about £30. This calculation excludes expenditure on services such as industrial rehabilitation and mobility payments but includes the cost of some activities not strictly involved in placing work and elements of social provision, such as the operation of the disabled persons' quota, which it is not possible to separate. Similar information is not available for other countries.
