Mr. Nelsonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the result of his discussions with the water authorities regarding 102W the recommendation of the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution to bring about an improvement in the condition of a polluted estuary; and what action he proposes to take in consequence.
§ Mr. CroslandI have taken note of this suggestion, which the Royal Commission put forward in its recent report. It will need to be considered in the light of what resources can be made available for water services in present circumstances and of the other demands which these services will have to meet.
