Mr. Ronald Atkinsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he gives consideration, before he approves plans submitted to him by new town development corporations, to the danger of pollution and congestion that can arise from the excessive use of private motor cars and the need to develop public transport as an alternative wherever possible.
§ Mr. OakesProposals submitted by development corporations are considered on their merits in the light of all relevant factors.
