Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she 70W will take steps to increase all social security payments in view of the recently announced increases in the prices of the nationalised industries and the increased postal and telephone charges to be made by the postal authorities.
§ Mr. Alec JonesAs my hon. Friend knows we are proposing to increase benefits substantially from 7th April and have undertaken that there will be a second uprating later in the year.
