§ 29. Mr. George Rodgersasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will propose changing the provisions of Section 101 of the Road Traffic Act 1930 and Section 117 of the Road Traffic Act 1960 to enable local authorities to operate a public vehicle service as a contract carriage.
§ Mr. CarmichaelLocal authorities with powers to operate public service vehicles are already able by virtue of the Transport Act 1968 to run them as contract carriages.
