§ Dr. OwenMy hon. Friend asked me to consider the desirability of amending the wording of the Human Tissue Act 1961 on lines suggested by the British Transplantation Society, and to look into the implication of setting up a non-statutory contracting-out register to assist the making of inquiries necessary under the Act. I have agreed to consider these two matters. I am also taking steps to undertake a public attitude survey on various aspects of transplantation.
