HL Deb 24 February 1975 vol 357 c638WA
Lord TREFGARNE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What progress has been made with repairs to Westminster Hall necessitated by the explosion last year; and what work remains to be done.

The PALIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT: (Baroness Birk)

Work to the roof has been completed except for the laying of the stone slates, which will begin shortly. The damaged stone work of the West Wall has been repaired; work has started on the North Wall and the stair in the North-East turret. Re-glazing of the windows is also in hand but will take some months owing to scarcity of craftsmen.

House adjourned at twenty-six minutes before eight o'clock.
