HC Deb 20 February 1975 vol 886 c447W
Q20. Mr. Grimond

asked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement giving details of the organisation of ministerial functions as they affect Scotland.

The Prime Minister

The main executive functions of the Secretary of State for Scotland are set out in Table 5.1 of the Report of the Royal Commission on the Constitution. Appendix D of Volume 1 of the report deals with these functions in greater detail and also indicates the extent to which Departments other than the Scottish Office exercise functions affecting Scotland.

I would also refer the right hon. Gentleman to the reply which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for South Ayrshire (Mr. Sillars) concerning the forthcoming transfer of powers in the industrial field on 20th December 1974.
