§ 33. Mr. Newensasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will take action designed to reverse the downward trend in the production of fruit in Great Britain.
§ Mr. StrangI do not accept that any significant downward trend is discernible in the production of fruit. Productive capacity has remained fairly steady in recent years, but there have been wide fluctuations in output from year to year as a result of weather and other factors.
