§ Mr. Harold WalkerMy right hon. Friend has, at present, no proposals for amending the Mines and Quarries Acts 1954–1971, nor has he received any from the Health and Safety Commission. Regulations amending the Acts must, of course, take account of Section 1(2) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and be the subject of the extensive consultation required by Section 50.
