§ Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what discussions are being held with the Press Council, the British Broadcasting Corporation and the Independent Broadcasting Authority in order to consider, and give effect to, the recommendations of Lord Gardiner's Committee set out in paragraphs 73 to 76 inclusive of its report.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThese recommendations are being studied. The Press Council, the British Broadcasting Corporation and the Independent Broadcasting Authority have not yet been consulted. I will do so as necessary, but I would of course welcome any comments they may wish to give me.
