§ Mr. John SilkinLocal planning authorities have been encouraged by my Department to arrange for publicity to be given to proposals that would significantly affect the amenities of any area. For proposals that would affect the character or appearance of a conservation area there are already statutory requirements for a site notice and advertisement in a local newspaper.
