§ Mr. Mike Thomasasked the Lord President of the Council how many statutory instruments were laid before Parliament in each of the years 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974 whether he will give a breakdown by the Acts or subjects under which they were laid; and whether he will provide a total figure of similar instruments laid in the six years 1919 to 1924.
§ Mr. Edward ShortI understand that the only figures readily available cover the period 1969—August 1973 and include unlaid as well as laid Statutory Instruments. The figures are:
