asked the Secretary of State for Defence what plans he has for the acquisition by the RAF of a medium-life helicopter.

The size and composition of the planned RAF helicopter force is one of the matters under discussion with our NATO partners. Details of the decisions taken by the Government at the conclusion of these discussions will be included in the White Paper promised by my right hon.
