asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what the United Kingdom contribution to United Nations assessments has been for each of the last five years; and what proportion this represents of the total budget.

The United Kingdom's contributions to the United Nations310W Regular Budget for the last five years—in US dollars—and the proportion of the total budget they represented, are as follows:

1970: 9,310,430 6.62 per cent.

1971: 9,252,633 5.90 per cent.

1972: 10,441,271 5.90 per cent.

1973: 11,059,447 5.90 per cent.

1974: 11,837,040 5.31 per cent.
