Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether Lady Plowden's appointment as chairman of the IBA in April at an annual salary of £8,200 is on the basis that she should give full time to the appointment on a similar basis to the present incumbent.

Mr. Alexander W. Lyon

The new chairman will make the appointment her first concern in the same way that the present chairman does.
