Mr. John Evans

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what is the total amount of rate support grant that will be paid to local authorities in Scotland, Wales and each of the eight English regions served by a regional economic planning council in 1975–76; and what was the figure for each of the last five years;

(2) what is the amount, per head of population, of the rate support grant that will be paid to local authorities in Scotland, Wales and each of the eight regions of England served by a regional economic planning council in 1975–76; and what were the figures for each of the last five years.
