§ 39. Mr. Michael McNair-Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will give as much information as is consistent with security considerations about the operations of the Beira Patrol during the past year.
§ Mr. JuddIt is not the practice to disclose details of naval operations but, as I explained in answer to a Question by the hon. Member on 14th January—[Vol. 884, c. 181–2]—the patrol has been completely effective in achieving its aim of preventing oil reaching Rhodesia via Beira.
