§ 3. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what arrangements have been made by her Department for protecting the consumer in matters relating to charges and services by publicly-owned industries.
Mr. Alan WilliamsFrom 1st February my right hon. Friend took over certain responsibilities in relation to the nationalised industry consumer councils and she will be closely involved with the Ministers responsible for the industries concerned in matters affecting their consumers. She will also shortly be asking the new national Consumers' Council to undertake a fundamental review of the present arrangements for consumer representation in the nationalised industries generally.
