§ 45. Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what matters are now not subject to the new Luxembourg disagreement procedure, as set out in paragraph 6 of the official communiqué of the Heads of State meeting of 10th December last, which would have justified non-agreement prior to this change of arrangement.
§ Mr. HattersleyMember States are free to maintain their positions regarding the Luxembourg compromise. Each Government will decide for themselves which matters involve important national interests.
