§ Mr. Ian Lloydasked the Prime Minister whether he will make it the practice of his administration that all announcements of gross salaries or gross salary increments, in excess of the figure for national average industrial earnings—£2,500 per annum—in the public sector including all nationalised industries, shall be followed by a figure indicating the net taxed income which would accrue to a married man with two children receiving that income or increase in income, assuming that standard allowances applied 464W and that there are no other sources of income.
