§ Mr. PrenticeIn the financial year 1972–73, net recurrent expenditure on universities from public funds* and net expenditure per student are shown in the table below. The important qualifications which I made in answer to a Question by the hon. Member for Dunbartonshire, East (Mr. Bain) on 13th November 1974—[Vol. 881, c. 156–57.]—apply equally to these figures. Regional figures could be produced only with disproportionate labour.
