§ 32. Dr. Boysonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science, in view of the latest evidence concerning the increasing percentage of foreign students at United Kingdom universities, if he will 447W consider recommending either a further cutback in university expansion or an increase in the fees for foreign students.
§ Mr. PrenticeI see no reason to depart from present plans for an expansion of higher education to provide for 640,000 full-time and sandwich course students in Great Britain in 1981. The question of a general increase in tuition fees, including those for overseas students, is under consideration.
