HL Deb 04 February 1975 vol 356 c858WA
Lord HYLTON

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the Forestry Commission has been or will be able to assist with the restocking of the forests in Cyprus damaged or destroyed in the recent conflict.

Lord BESWICK

Requests from the Government of Cyprus received through the usual channels for technical advice from the Forestry Commission on restocking the forests would receive very careful consideration. The Commission has already provided an instructor to advise on the techniques of chainsawing to help with the harvesting of the damaged timber.

House adjourned at a quarter past eight o'clock.
