asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what was the average rate of interest paid on British overseas borrowing annually since 1968;

(2) if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the total amount of British overseas borrowing annually since 1968, indicating the total borrowed from the IMF and from other sources, respectively.
