§ Mr. Macfarlaneasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress he has made towards the building of a national stadium.
§ Mr. Denis HowellI have discussed the feasibility of developing Wembley Stadium with the chairman of the company which owns it, and I am aware of their future plans. Very large sums of money would be needed for a national stadium, and this is not, therefore, a project which can be contemplated in the near future.
§ Mr. Macfarlaneasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the fourth sports programme.
