§ Sir George Youngasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether the limit in the Pay Code is £6 per person, or £6 per contract of employment.
§ Mr. BoothThe White Paper provides that in general, subject to the £8,500 upper limit, the £6 limit applies to increases for individual workers in their full-time employment and pro rata for part-time workers. Particular cases will have to be examined in the light of this general requirement.
