§ Mrs. Winifred Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give details of the proposed expansion of his Department's research programme into industrial democracy, so far as this expansion will involve work in Scotland, extra jobs or spending in Scotland.
§ Mr. BoothThe Department's research programme, including research into industrial democracy, is designed to assist the development of Government policy for the United Kingdom as a whole. The proposed modest expansion of research into industrial democracy will not have any significant effect on employment or on Government spending in any part of the United Kingdom.
