§ Mr. Macfarlaneasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is satisfied with the working of the Green Code as outlined in the Safety of Sports Ground Act and if he will list those football clubs which have not yet conformed within the framework of the code.
§ Dr. SummerskillThe code is non-statutory. We do not know how many football clubs have followed its recommendations, and we are not aware that any of them have found it unsatisfactory. It is at present being revised to take account, in particular, of recommendations made by the working party on crowd behaviour set up by my hon. Friend the Minister responsible for sport and recreation.
