§ Mr. EadieIn the current financial year about 0.3 per cent. of the research and development expenditure for which my right hon. Friend is responsible—including that of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority in direct support of the power programme plus fusion—will be spent on these methods of power production. The R and D programmes on novel forms of energy are in their formative stage.
