§ Mrs. Chalkerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will arrange to make leaflets on the Equal Opportunities Commission available in mother and baby clinics and centres throughout the country.
§ Dr. SummerskillThe Equal Opportunities Commission is preparing leaflets on various aspects of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and the Equal Pay Act 1970 including the rôle of the Equal Opportunities Commission. The leaflets will be given a wide distribution. Mother and baby clinics are the responsibility of the local authority. I understand that the Commission will be happy to supply its leaflets free of charge to any local authority that would like to make them available in clinics.
