§ 21. Mr. Bryant Godman Irvineasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement about the progress towards internal self-governing status of the Solomon Islands.
§ Mr. RowlandsI would refer the hon. Member to the statement made by my hon. Friend, the then Under-Secretary, on 9th June 1975. The necessary order conferring internal self-government was made on 12th November 1975 and it is being brought into operation on 2nd January 1976.
