§ Mr. Edward ShortMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland, my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales and I have so far received about 50 letters commenting on the White Paper. It is much too soon to make any reliable estimate of public reaction to the Government's proposals. We have yet to hear from nearly 400 organisations which have been invited to comment.
