§ Mr. KaufmanThe net output of the shipbuilding, ship-repairing and marine engineering industry is estimated as £438 million in 1973, the latest period for which information is available. The latest regional analysis refers to 1972 and in that year three-quarters of net output was produced in England and one fifth in Scotland. Separate figures for Wales and Northern Ireland cannot be given for reasons of confidentiality.
