asked the Prime Minister whether, following the recent trial of Flight Lieutenant A. D. Steadman under the Official Secrets Act, he intends to refer the case to the Security Commission.

No. In arriving at this decision I have followed the procedure I announced on 25th March 1969 and have consulted Lord Diplock, the Chairman of the Security Commission, and the right hon. Member the Leader of the Opposition.
