Information is not available to show where fires arose from electrical faults.

The Annual Reports of my Department's Electrical Adviser give the following figures of deaths from electrocution in England and Wales arising from domestic electrical equipment:

Few of the deaths appear to have resulted from faulty equipment. In many cases they were caused by misuse, carelessness or inexpert repairs.
