introducing an independent and lay element into the administration of the legal aid scheme;

(2) whether he is satisfied with the administration of the legal aid scheme; and whether he will make a statement;

(3) whether he will establish a review body to devise a scheme for the independent administration of the legal aid scheme.

The matters referred to in these Questions form part of the study of legal services which my noble and learned Friend the Lord Chancellor has commissioned and which is due to be completed shortly.
