§ Mr. EnnalsI would refer my hon. Friend to my answer of 12th December—[Vol. 902, c.395.] We remain fully commited to the objective of securing equal status and opportunities for women in all aspects of national life, including the representation of the United Kingdom in international conferences. While the conditions of employment in the United Nations and the Specialised Agencies are primarily the responsibility of the appropriate Secretariats we shall continue to use our influence to ensure that women enjoy equal conditions and prospects of preferment in the United Nations system.
