Mr. Tierney

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (I) if she will give the up-to-date figure for unfilled vacancies for portering, domestic, laundry and maintenance staff in the Birmingham Area Health Authority.

(2) if she will give the latest figures for unfilled vacancies for nurses, trained and untrained, for the Birmingham Area Health Authority.
