I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that £8 million has been provisionally allocated for projects under the Job Creation Programme in Scotland. The sum finally disbursed will depend on the response from potential project sponsors. The total grant to projects approved up to 5th December, the latest date for which figures are available, was just under £800,000.
