§ 56. Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will call for a report from the Chief Constable of Manchester on political violence in respect of the meeting of the NCCL on 30th November and its relationship to acts of violence committed on previous occasions by extremist political groups from the Merseyside area.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsThe Chief Constable of Greater Manchester tells me that police inquiries into the incident are continuing. I cannot comment further at this stage.
