asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many British registered aircraft will be affected by the Civil Aviation Authority's new requirement to fit Ground Proximity warning systems, and what will be the approximate cost of each installation.

This matter falls within the responsibility of the Civil Aviation Authority and I have asked my right honourable friend to draw the attention of the Chairman of the Authority to the noble Lord's inquiries.
