17. Mr. Biffen

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the progress to date of his policy for securing a fundamental reform of the common agricultural policy.

26. Mr. Sillars

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the progress made to date in the fundamental or substantial changes which he obtained in the CAP; and when he intends to table his next proposals for change.

Mr. Peart

I would refer the hon. Member and my hon. Friend to the reply which my hon. Friend gave to the hon. Member for Banbury (Mr. Marten) on 5th December.—[Vol. 901, c.743.] It is our intention to secure further improvements in the operation of the common agricultural policy as a result of the forthcoming discussions on Community agricultural support and prices for 1976–77.

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the EEC Agricultural Price Review.

37. Mr. Arnold

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the European Economic Community Agricultural Prices Review.

Mr. Peart

The European Commission's proposals for 1976–77 prices are expected to be available very shortly. The Council of Agriculture Ministers is likely to take decisions in January or February.
