§ Dr. SummerskillThe figures that I gave in reply to the hon. Member's Question on 4th August—[Vol. 897, c.22–25]—cannot be regarded as satisfactory. I know that chief officers of police are concerned about the number of accidents, and they are continually trying to reduce them, by, for example, improved training of drivers. Her Majesty's Inspectors of Constabulary also look carefully into this aspect of a force's efficiency during their annual inspections.
