§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether the riverside facilities at Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire will be within a cargo-handling zone as defined by the Dock Work Regulations Bill and so subject to the provisions of that Bill.
§ Mr. BoothOn the River Trent the tide flows at mean high water to Cromwell Lock. If the riverside facilities are within five miles, in a direct line, of this point, then they are within the cargo-handling zone and cargo-handling work performed at them will, unless covered by the specific exclusions, be within scope of the provisions of the Bill.
