§ Mr. Wellbelovedasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement about the future of HMS "Bulwark".
§ Mr. JuddAs has already been announced, HMS "Bulwark" will be paid off as a commando ship next Spring. This will bring to an end her rôle as an amphibious vessel.
Her material condition is being maintained until decisions can be taken about the Royal Navy's ASW capability before HMS "Invincible" is introduced into service.
