HC Deb 09 December 1975 vol 902 c96W
Mr. Pardoe

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many letters, sent by first-class post, his Department received within the last three month; and how many of these arrived within one day, two days and more than two days, respectively, of the date on the postmark.

Mr. Booth

This information is not held and could not be obtained without cost disproportionate to the value of the information gained.

Mr. Pardoe

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will conduct a survey to inform himself of the proportion of letters sent by his Department by firs-class post which arrive within one day of posting.

Mr. Booth

No. The effort and cost involved would be disproportionate to the value of the information gained.
