§ Miss Joan LestorNo. It is for the Devon education authority to decide how it wishes to deploy the capital authorisations for school building made available to it; and it has not asked my right hon. Friend for any additional resources for a project at Beer Primary School. As I informed my hon. Friend the Member for Manchester, Moss Side (Mr. Hatton) on 3rd December, Devon has notified its intention to underuse by £600,000 its allocation for the current year. It has also assured my Department that it has taken steps to avoid any possible danger to the pupils at Beer.
